When I received an invitation to moderate a cooking competition in Kali, Ugljan (Croatia) I immediately confirmed my arrival. However, at the same time, I was worried about the  language barrier ; I’m not from aroud, I’m not local, and this is my first fishing festival ever in a specific, small fishing town. “Well, let’s try,” I thought.
